Description Overview We are currently looking for an Associate Account Manager with CPG, pharmaceutical, or medical sales experience to join our Perrigo Direct Sales Team. Grand Rapids MI is the preferred location however remote applicants will be considered. The incumbent develops Perrigo's Direct GoodSense / Other Branded business in the medical channel via effective account management practices and implementation of recommendations that grow Perrigo Direct's revenue and profit. Scope of the Role Sales & Margin - Collaborates with sales team to develop objectives and implements strategies to achieve sales plan in the customer base. Collaborates with Account or Region teammates, Sales Director, and Marketing Team to develop and present category reviews, new product presentations, share growth initiatives and consumer insight findings in an actionable manner. Utilizes category and product information to develop and sell in robust rolling 6-12 month promotional calendars. Price Management - Responsible for executing all Price Management activities at assigned accounts. Negotiates item pricing to achieve established price and margin objectives. Collaborates with Pricing Department and Category Manager to understand and incorporate market and competitive intelligence into all price negotiations. Strategic Account Relationship - Successfully enhances business relationships with focus on the Buyers but also inclusive up to the Director. Leverage relationships to maximize Perrigo Direct's value as a partner and for our business results. Internal Project Management -- Is the Customer's primary advocate inside Perrigo Direct. Directing initiatives with internal departments to ensure new products, promotions and other account initiatives are developed and shipped on time. Works with Perrigo Direct Customer Service and Replenishment teams to develop and execute service strategies to maximize DC and store in-stocks and is responsible for gathering customer forecasts. Administrative - Responsible for ensuring compliance to Perrigo Direct & Customer administrative requirements. Collaborates with internal colleagues to ensure Perrigo Direct resources and systems are understood and aligned to the needs of the customer. Experience Required The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field and 5+ years of professional experience, at least 1 of which are in Sales, or an equivalent combination of education &/or experience. Industry experience required. Previous Consumer Packaged Goods, medical, or pharmaceutical experience in direct selling to customers, demonstrated strong analytical skills and solid understanding of the selling process. Experience with medical Group Purchasing Organizations or infant nutrition sales are beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, including oral and written communication.
