Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality and Mission Success Manager for Hypersonic Programs located in Grand Prairie, TX.

The Quality professional will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance of several key areas of responsibility, including overall program Quality business process management, data analytics, continuous improvement, talent development, training and knowledge continuity.

The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Quality Engineering and as an Adviser for the Quality team.

This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into MFC. Duties include, but not limited to:

Drive strategies resulting in contemporary and optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System and talent development

Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks

Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to ensure quality standards are in place and engage cross-functionally to drive process improvements and efficiencies.

Establish Program Quality Management System that comply with customer requirements and governmental regulatory standards

Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures to ensure compliance to AS9100

Establish performance metrics and conducting data analysis to identify process improvements, including management of quality improvements and initiatives throughout the Hypersonics Supply Chain

Identify solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using tools like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action

Liaison between program and the Customer to ensure Customer satisfaction and accomplishment of Customer requirements

Manage manpower, staffing, and budget to support and multidisciplinary Quality Engineering (QE) team

A level 5 employee typically has 12 - 14 years of professional experience.


Basic Qualifications:

Must have an Interim Security Clearance and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Demonstrated full spectrum leader – ability to shape the future, energize the team, deliver results, build effective relationships and be accountable with high integrity and ethics

Demonstrated excellent team building and interpersonal skills

Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry with expertise in quality management systems structure and requirements

Previous Quality Management experience with product lifecycles including development through delivery / field support

Prior leadership experience including driving key program quality continuous improvement actions and metrics

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences, including executive level program performance briefings

Skills in auditing, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions

Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material

Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain and all other stakeholders

Experience with employee development

Must have the ability to travel

Desired Skills:

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Advanced AS9100, AS9102 interpretation and application experience

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) technical experience

Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)

Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM)

Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground or operational tests
