What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the coordination of EH&S activities for the facility as assigned.

  • Serves as the site environmental, health and safety focal lead, ensuring that all EH&S policies and procedures are communicated and followed.

  • Work as a team with hourly operators and professionals to achieve company goals.

  • Responsible for communication of environmental, health and safety related policies, procedures, and activities for the facility.

  • Responsible for identifying, monitoring, controlling, and documenting potential hazards and communicating such hazards through the EH&S focals.

  • Monitor and report EH&S metrics to determine the effectiveness of daily operations.

  • Responsible for conducting EH&S training.

  • Conduct regular internal EH&S audits for the operations.

  • Prepare reports of findings and recommends corrective actions for incidents, inspections, or environmental monitoring results.

  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental, health and/or safety policy and procedural manuals as assigned.

  • Act as an Emergency Coordinator for coordinating emergencies incidents or any other emergency response with external parties.

  • This position is onsite reporting into the site EH&S Manager.

  • 1st Shift hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Associate Degree in related discipline

  • 2+ years experience may be accepted in lieu of degree with a HS Diploma

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 3+ years EH&S experience is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, published guidance and relevant

  • Strong knowledge of EH&S Standards, e.g. ISO 14001and OH&S MS (ISO 45001:2018)

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
