MIG WELDER I

JOB SUMMARY

Our company is seeking a driven & detail-oriented MIG Welder I to performing basic welding tasks using metal inert gas (MIG) welding equipment. This role will be responsible for understanding and applying welding techniques, working quickly & skillfully with their hands and with others to complete components in specified time frame. This position must also be successful in acquiring a 1G and 1F certification within first 90 days of employment. This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $19.00-$24.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Lay out / Fit & MIG Weld a variety of structural shapes and plate thicknesses. Utilize multiple welding machines and processes. Read and interpret drawings to determine the specific welding requirements. Perform visual weld inspection before, during, and after each welding operation. Know and follow safety procedures as required in a specific operation, as well as LPOA quality standards. Identify safety concerns and takes appropriate action. Demonstrate the ability & willingness to gain knowledge, skills and habits required to perform routine, repetitive and procedural tasks and theoretical knowledge under close supervision. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities. Demonstrate excellent attendance, safety, housekeeping, and general work habits. Participate in all required training & professional development. Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma / GED Equivalent Must be successful in acquiring a 1G and 1F certification within first 90 days. Valid Drivers License with the ability to travel as needed. Authorized to work in the United States of America. Proficient in the English Language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1-2 years previous MIG welding experience.
