POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for assisting with life enrichment opportunities and activities for residents in our company's Senior Living Communities. This position assists the Life Enrichment Managers in organizing, promoting, and facilitating comprehensive activities and services that promote healthy, activity-enriched lifestyles for residents utilizing these seven dimensions of wellness: social, intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, and vocational. This is a part-time opening with a schedule of Friday - Monday during 10a - 4p.

The starting wage for this position is $15.75-$16.54 an hour depending on experience. Accepting applications until this role is filled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Carrying out assigned activities safely and timely (to include, but not limited to room set up, activity set up and tear down, etc.). Organize and implement ongoing activities for residents in the Memory Care units, providing level appropriate services and behavior intervention as necessary. Plan and implement various activities for residents, in collaboration with Life Enrichment Managers, that challenge the residents cognitive, social, and physical needs. Actively participating as a member of the Life Enrichment Department, providing input, attending meetings, evaluating, etc. Coordinating hospitality services for new and current residents at The Commons, The Fountains, and The Cottages (making and delivering welcome gifts to new residents, sending cards/flowers, coordinating birthday/anniversary celebrations, arranging memorial services, etc.). Facilitating and organizing activities in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested, managing time to effectively provide enrichment opportunities for multiple residents. Facilitating scheduled fitness classes, adhering to curriculum set forth by the Life Enrichment Director. Transport residents to various planned outings, and/or assist the driver with loading and unloading. Utilize various techniques and tactics to engage residents in daily activities requiring direct and demonstrative communication.
