Position Summary: Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs, including but not limited to, the material handling/conveyor and part removal systems, mill drives and press bases, Austempers and Box Ovens.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.

· Help troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment including mills, presses, conveyors etc.

· Use the following equipment safely:

· Hand tools

· Hand and Surface grinders

· Wheel Puller

· Torches

· Pipe Threader

· Hydraulic Jacks

· Welders

· Scissor Lift

· Lathe

· Forklift

· Milling Machine

· Drill Presses

· Work in a safe manner, providing constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility.

· Perform preventive maintenance and provide input on updates to preventive maintenance schedules.

· Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.

· Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested. Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor.
