Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for an HR Assistant to perform duties related to department coordinating, onboarding, answering basic employee questions about transactional matters, and assisting employees and the Human Resources department as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs customer service functions by answering employee questions and responding to requests
Coordinates, schedules, and conducts new employee orientation, training, and onboarding meetings
Performs recruiting tasks and attends job fairs and promotional events
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested
Prepares new employee files
Enter new hire employee information into the HRIS system and other HR programs as needed
Creates, runs, and distributes HRIS data reports as needed
Creates, runs, and distributes reports for employees’ programs such as service recognition, birthday recognition and other employee events. Prepares awards and certificates and orders gifts
Processes I-9’s by entering information into the E-Verify database, monitoring results, and maintaining the I-9 documents as required
Completes and/or coordinates on-line background checks and other new hire screenings per company policy and procedure
Performs general administrative duties for the HR department such as filing, making photocopies, faxing, preparing memos, and other support activities
Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
Cross trains with other HR positions as appropriate to learn all aspects of HR administration
Handles employee attendance occurrence/policy tracking
Assists with safety and WC claims
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Precisely captures information to complete work accurately; Ensures that information is always reviewed; Focuses on smaller elements and finer points of material or processes
EDUCATION
- Associate degree or equivalent HR experience
