Lead a team of employees within the department to achieve company goals and be a resource for questions, concerns, and comments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Know and understand each role within the department.

  • Lead and direct team in regard to work instructions and moulding process.

  • Get outside department contacts involved when necessary (quality, maintenance, warehouse, safety, etc.)

  • Point of contact in department when Supervisor is unavailable.

  • Report any findings, issues, observations to the Supervisor.

  • Support system for employees

  • Apply serial number to mould before gel coat spraying.

  • Collect all traceability forms from materials used.

  • Complete Inspections Lists for completion of mould.

  • Combine all mould paperwork from upwind, downwind, and quality. Sign off on paperwork and place in web cart.

  • Attend Team Leader Training.

  • Training new employees.

  • Continually communicate with co-workers regarding the process and following work instructions.

  • Notify supervisor immediately of any near miss or injury, no matter how slight.

  • Seek guidance from fellow coworkers or supervisor regarding various issues.

  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working alone or with a team.

  • Attend crew/department meetings as required.

  • Attend plant meetings as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Certifications in Gel Coat Machine, Infusion Machine, Glass Wagon, Crane Operator, Crane Spotter.

  • Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to push/pull heavy objects.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.

  • Ability to work with hands for an extended period.

  • Knowledge of the department area.

  • Ability to communicate, empathize, resolve conflict, patience, and tolerance.

  • Ability to operate basic hand tools.

  • Ability to operate power tools.

  • Ability to operate heavy machinery.

Desired Characteristics

  • High School Diploma, GED or related work experience.

  • Previous manufacturing and leadership experience preferred.
