PeopleReady of Grand Forks, ND is now hiring Food Service Workers in Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND! The Food Service Worker will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations. This is a permanent direct hire position.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17.20 - $17.20 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Food Service Worker:
Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
Operates a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, and season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing
Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
Sets up stations with entrée, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
Brews coffee and tea
May work on a tray line to distribute food
Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
Removes trash and garbage to designated areas
Polishes silver
Other tasks as may be directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor
Available Shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening) & Weekends
Job Requirements:
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
Must have commercial cooking experience
Must Have ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Must be able to Work a Flexible Work Schedule
Must Obtain and Maintain a Security Clearance
Education: At least High School or equivalent
1-year relevant work experience within a commercial food service environment
Background check and drug screening required
