Job description
Absolute Hospice is seeking a Full-Time Hospice LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Oakland County area to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned hospice patients while providing support to their families.
Responsibilities:
- Care for terminally ill patients
- Provide end of life patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications and treatment plans
- Educate and update patients and families on End of Life, medication changes, plan of care, and treatments for symptoms management
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current LPN License with the State of Michigan in good standing, required.
- At least one year of Hospice experience, preferred.
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields, required,
- Familiarity with patient charting/ documentation
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Own vehicle in good working condition with valid auto insurance is required
