Position: Junior Technology Scientist Associate - GRANADA

Job Description:

Support development utilizing multiple application techniques of various functions (R&D, QA, Engineering, Process Development, Production and Regulatory disciplines) with guidance from Technology Scientist for manufacturing products.

Conducts manufacturing support and trouble shooting for formulation and process specific to the batch/product.

Investigates and develops new application procedures under guidance of a Technology Scientist Associate or higher, combines inputs from above mentioned functions to develop Plant specific manufacture-able product that complies with all the requirements.

Mainly works on and may act as lead technology scientist on reformulation and local projects where starting manufacturing process and formula exists under the supervision of a Technology Scientist Associate or higher.

Direct own daily activities and manage monthly personal capacity Plan.

Actively participates on project team and may give product updates to core team or to operational management.

Experience Requirements:

The position requires knowledge of formulation and processing aspects pertaining to liquid and/or powdered nutritional products, as well as their nutritional, chemical, physical, and oxidative properties and stability.

Beyond scientific skills, strong math, writing and verbal communication coordination and organizational skills are required.

The individual must be proactive in executing development steps and anticipating barriers to success.

Education Requirements:

BS Food Science/Pharmacy/Chemical, Industrial Engineering or in related scientific field with 1-3 years practical related experience in nutrition manufacturing.

MS in Food Science/Nutrition/Engineering or in related scientific field.

English - C1 (Advanced)

Significant Work Activities & Conditions:

Conduct batch manufacture of small pilot studies; ability to lift 50lb

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day).

Analyze and interpret results and author recommendation reports with supervisory review as needed. Under supervision Conduct product shelf-life studies and provide technical justifications for the shelf-life. Communicates technical development results to project teams.

Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day).
