Aerotek Operator Technician in Goshen, Indiana

Seeking a 2nd shift Operator Technician with a pathway into becoming a Maintenance Technician. You'll start as a Finish Technician and will be responsible for setting up machines and being the first person to respond to machine malfunctions within a specific department. You'll partner with a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair issues, allowing you to grow and advance your skills. Additionally, you'll educate and guide other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors and monitor all equipment within your department. Professional communication skills are essential for responding appropriately to radio calls.

Responsibilities

  • Set up finishing machines and respond to malfunctions.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Partner with Maintenance Technicians to resolve complex problems.

  • Educate and guide other operators to prevent repetitive errors.

  • Monitor all equipment within the department.

  • Respond to radio calls professionally and appropriately.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work overtime and in other areas when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
