POSITION SUMMMARY:

The Assistant Construction Superintendent supports all field operations to ensure that the jobsite is clean, orderly and maintained in a safe condition. The primary objective is to maintain the project in a professional and orderly manner and labor for miscellaneous carpentry and housekeeping items are managed daily. Superintendents also implement and enforce safety and quality control policies among CPG employees and subcontractors. Essential duties include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall responsibility for project housekeeping. Manage the daily labor team and prioritize work schedules of daily activities and projects.

Communicate with project team daily regarding areas of activity for improvement or maintenance.

Ensure all equipment movement and material handling and unloading of material is done so utilizing all safety measures governing these activities.

Coordinate with vendors supporting the project for timely maintenance / upkeep, such as trash vendor.

Maintain daily onsite presence providing continual field supervision to monitor activities and field coordination.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Install protection material around jobsite as directed by Superintendents.

Ensure walk paths are well maintained, clear from debris and support the project.

Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.

Travel: 75 % if not local, 3-4 weeks on site and one week remote or willing to relocate for duration of project.

Other assigned tasks as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience (Desired):

Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of trades

Experience in tract housing and multifamily production is preferred

Skills:

Master Builder

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project & Outlook) preferred

Certificates and Licenses:

No certificates or licenses required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Project Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed. This position shall be responsible for monitoring project security personnel.

Occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent use of hands to fingers, and ability to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate written or online documentation. Involves frequent contact with staff. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
