Job Description Business Intelligence Analyst 4730 N Service Dr, Winona, MN 55987 HEADP Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work closely with our Sales and Business Leaders in providing guidance around reporting, contract pricing models, profit optimization, ROA forecasting, cost savings, and other critical KPIs. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Analyzing sales and industry related data across Fastenal's contract business segments o Developing and maintaining optimal pricing models for large contracts o Identifying wallet-share opportunity and penetration mapping o Creating reports and data visualizations to support decision and strategy o Generating ROA forecasting across a book of accounts o Identifying areas for cost savings and margin improvement o Providing business intelligence relevant to customer retention REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, MIS, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field of study OR have at least 4 years of work experience in sales, supply chain, or a related business field o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Willingness to travel up one week per quarter, when necessary o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess 1-2 years of relevant work, internship, or project related experience in addition to position requirements o Prior experience using analysis and visualization tools such as: Microsoft Power BI, R Studio, SAS JMP, Tableau, and Power Pivots o Previous work experience in supply chain management in a related industry with an understanding of MRO and OEM customer segments ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
