Actalent Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Goleta, California

Description:

Manufacturing Engineer develops and leads the implementation of optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and leads process improvements to production processes, methods and controls, ensuring project goals are met. Identifies and recommends cost saving changes to existing products. Coordinates manufacturing launch activities for new & revised products. Priorities include process improvement, product and process documentation, problem resolution, project management and employee training.

six sigma, fixture design, Process improvement, documentation, Solidworks, Continuous improvement, Tooling

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Statistical Process Control.

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

• Strong understanding of ERP systems and manufacturing control software.

• Knowledge of CAD/CAE Engineering tools, specifically SolidWorks.

• Experience with ISO QMS

• Experience with automation, controls and programming.

• Experience using basic hand and shop tools.
