ABOUT THIS POSITION We are recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team located in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will be a member of a small, cross functional team focusing on a strategic initiative. It will be a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to multiple different roles. OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE Determine system level requirements to support clinical studies and commercialization of a medical device, including requirements for the implantable system, external programmers, and cloud-based patient monitoring Lead new product development teams to design and test devices Work closely with system and lead engineers to understand the specifics of the software applications, the hardware, and the operating platform on which the applications run Read, analyze, understand and author requirements from user needs down to software requirements Generate and approve design history file documents, device master record documents and engineering change order records WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM Required: Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Software, Electrical Engineering 5+ years of engineering experience from a regulated industry (i.e. aerospace, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, etc) Demonstrated experience defining, leading and managing system and product testing Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing priorities Preferred: 10+ years of engineering experience in medical device industry Advanced level degree in Biomedical, Software, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline Experience with implantable medical product development Previous software and/or firmware development experience, including Python, .NET, and/or CAD software Inspire Medical Systems provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, status regarding public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, and local laws.
