Honeywell Sr. Procurement Buyer in Golden Valley, Minnesota
Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking an experienced Sr. Procurement Buyer to join their team in Golden Valley, MN or Broomfield, CO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and drive procurement of material and services in support of business requirements
Experience with US Government purchasing procedures and practices
Procurement activities including RFQ processes, supplier selection, purchase order placement, monitoring shipment and services and supplier performance
Act as main point of contact for suppliers
Work with internal team on requirements, need dates and work to support projects and businesses
Ensure that the suppliers are acknowledging orders immediately and accurately within established lead-times
The annual base salary for this position is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Must Haves
5+ years of procurement experience
3+ years of experience in Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
3+ years of FAR Part 15 Government Buying experience
WE VALUE
Bachelor's Degree BS or BA, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration.
Experience with subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements.
Experience in leading formal negotiations (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, as well as standard Terms and Conditions)
Ability to prepare and issue RFQs (requests for quotes) to suppliers, follow-up to assure understanding.
Review quotes, analyze results and determine negotiation plans / strategies as well as addressing any exceptions to flow downs, specifications, quality notes or Honeywell terms and conditions requirements.
Expedite orders when required to ensure on-time shipments.
Able to quickly understand processes and ensure adherence to the same.
Must be able to deploy a systematic approach to work and must have an aptitude for performing work functions in a timely and well-organized manner with limited oversight.
Adapt to constantly changing work assignments, consistently make timely decisions while balancing conflicting goals with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up-like atmosphere.
