Description
We are seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Payroll Specialist for our business. This role entails prompt and efficient handling of payroll tasks and data entry. The ability to collaborate well with a team and communicate professionally across various teams is integral to this position. The ideal candidate will need to service customer queries daily. Primary responsibilities (not exhaustive) include:
• Managing engagement forms for new employees, including verifying information and data entry into the payroll system. Must ensure updates to staff records are reflected.
• Upholding exceptional customer service policies as per company guidelines.
• Handling child support, garnishment and tax levy orders, as well as making payments.
• Overseeing accurate deductions for insurance and benefits from staff payroll cheques.
• Administration of employee leave plans.
• Confirming that all payroll timesheets and relevant documents are neatly filed in the digital storage database.
• Ensuring fluent communication and collaboration across different departments and displaying excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Requirements
Prospective applicants should have at least one year's experience in payroll processing or a similar role. Experience in using Microsoft Suite and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Precedence will be given to candidates with Mfiles and/or Great Plain experience. Success in this role requires excellent organizational and time management skills. All applicants must pass a DHS background study and have a driving record acceptable as per the company's policy.
