Liberty Diversified International Director - Retail and Graphics Sales in Golden Valley, Minnesota

Description POSITION SUMMARY The Director - Retail and Graphics is responsible for formulating and implementing a targeted go-to-market strategy for Liberty Packaging across the retail and graphics sectors. This includes developing a distinct Omni channel supply chain strategy to achieve a competitive advantage and establishing key partnerships with leading retailers in various segments such as e-commerce, mass, club, home improvement, and grocery. The role emphasizes enhancing private label brands through strategic execution and leveraging market insights to secure national CPG business. This role owns building a comprehensive support infrastructure to address national opportunities, including team development, training, and resource allocation. Collaboration with senior management to close operational gaps and align on large-scale projects is crucial, along with expanding the product portfolio and harmonization to support growth and investment plans. This position is ideal for a professional with expertise in retail and graphics strategy, Omni channel supply chains, and relationship building, looking to drive innovation and strategic growth in a dynamic market environment. This position reports to the VP, Packaging Sales, and can be based at any one of our Liberty Packaging facilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute national retail and graphic go to market strategy to differentiate with and capture the market delivering an Omni channel supply chain value proposition. Cultivate strategic relationships with channel leading retailers (club/discount, mass, e-commerce, home improvement, drug, grocery, sporting/ outdoor, & automotive) with focus on private label brands. Leverage insights to bring insight to national CPGs (e.g. white space, flexibility to go outside of styles guides, etc.) Lead, drive, and manage business unit graphics RFI/RFP processes, formulate business proposals, and guide pricing strategies across business units, aiming for strategic alignment and market competitiveness. Develop support infrastructure across the business regions (team, training, processes, capabilities, certifications, quality requirements, tools, skill sets, resources, etc.) to target national and large regional opportunities. Collaborate with executive leadership team to address operational gaps & resource planning. Engage key leaders on large opportunities to ensure operational alignment necessary to support the opportunity (volumes capacity, capabilities, etc.). Expand consumer packaging, private label, POP display portfolio to support product harmonization/expansion and future capital investments. Develop solutions and business proposals for strategic potential customers in target markets. In partnership with Region General Managers and Pricing subject matter experts, provide pricing direction and/or guidance across all business units. Other duties, as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Bachelor's degree in Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years' experience leading geographically distributed professional teams. 10+ years' experience developing sales team capabilities. 10+ years' experience developing and executing go-to-market sales strategies 10+ years' experience successfully developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships. Previous change management experience. Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
