2 Full-Time Opportunities Available
Operators to operate the wastewater treatment facilities and collection system following company, local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure environmental compliance. Conduct periodic inspections, lab analysis, and perform operations and maintenance within the facility.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to apply and/or have working knowledge of mathematical concepts, such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Attention to detail.
Self-motivated, take initiative.
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, basic scientific concepts, water quality standards, and regulations and company procedures
GED/High School graduate or state recognized education equivalency certificate.
College course work and/or degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or engineering curriculum are desired.
Continuing education as needed for Operator certification renewal.
IEPA Wastewater Class 4 license preferred. Required to get license within 12 months if you do not already possess.
Wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
Valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
Facility and Field
Environmental conditions including contact with chemicals, fumes, odors, and dust because of working with and handling potentially hazardous wastewater treatment and laboratory chemicals.
Minimum exposure to inclement weather mostly of short duration.
