Intel Finance Project Controls Manager in Gmina Miękinia, Poland

Job Description

Intel announced that it has selected an area near Wroclaw, Poland, as the site of a new cutting-edge semiconductor assembly and test facility. This facility will help meet critical demand for assembly and test capacity that Intel anticipates by 2027.

Design and planning for the facility will begin immediately, with construction to commence pending state aid approval procedure by the European Commission and the Polish Government.

Intel's planned investment in Poland adds to Intel's current and future plans for Europe, including its existing wafer fabrication facility in Leixlip, Ireland and its planned wafer fabrication facility in Magdeburg, Germany.

Combined, these facilities will help create an end-to-end leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing value chain across Europe. It will also serve as a catalyst for additional ecosystem investments and innovation in Poland and the European Union.

This position is part of the Fab Construction Finance (FCF) team in Poland . The position can involve managing projects across the site as well as possible Virtual Factory (VF) Projects across multiple regions/locations. The position will report to the FCF EMEA Controller and will be an integral member of the project team which includes members from the Fab Construction Enterprise and Procurement Organizations.

This position is responsible for all financial elements of the project to help ensure the project is delivered on time and at the best cost to Intel. This role is one of the few opportunities where individuals can both develop and perfect project management skills working with the project team as well as external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assures accuracy of financial reporting information (Cost Report, Cash Flow Forecasting, Project Cost Forecasting) in conjunction with Schedule/Scope/Budget for construction projects

  • Leads Monthly Close and Quarterly POR business process

  • Provides information and counsel through expertise in the areas of Cost Management and Project Controls, Governance and risk management, Claims management, Budgeting, Return on investment decisions, Earned value and productivity analysis etc.

  • Leads/Drives cost reduction strategies and interfaces with local levels of management, customer and division finance, as well as compliance with reporting standards and corporate policies

  • Provides varying levels of advice (e.g., Tax and Asset Accounting) and financial information to operational business groups to drive the business decision-making process

  • Interprets information for and negotiates with clients and customers both internal and external to the organization

  • Exercises sound decision making processes to support the project while ensuring that the proper controls are followed to lead to a healthy project

  • Manages project team resourcing and training

  • Escalates issues in a timely manner

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors, Masters or MBA degree in Construction, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in technical finance, or construction cost engineering analysis, or related construction project controls field

  • Intermediate level MS Excel expertise

  • Fluency in English

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders

  • Ability to provide data-driven guidelines for decision making and confidently make decisions when needed

Preferred qualifications:

  • Thorough working knowledge of Construction Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Finance, Accounting and Business Analysis

  • Experience managing large construction projects

  • Experience working with Power BI, MS Teams, CPM, SAP, Hexagon (Ecosys)

  • Fluency in Polish

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
