ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Systems Engineer in FORT GORDON,

ASRC Federal Broadleaf is seeking an Senior Systems Engineer to support our team at Fort Eisenhower, GA.

The candidate will develop, build, support, administer, maintain, and sustain Microsoft Windows and Linux client/server platforms hosted in enterprise IT environments. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintaining, securing, and support of Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers, Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM). The Systems Engineer will provide engineer-level technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • The Systems Engineer will provide engineering-level implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the computer systems according to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) Concept of Operations (CONOPS).

  • Provide Engineering and Implementation Plans (EIP), System Design Plan (SDP), and Build Guides.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms, Microsoft Active Directory, and PKI.

  • Perform systems and security monitoring, handle backup procedures and help set up, maintain, and delete user accounts as required.

  • Perform advanced systems administration on Windows Servers, Windows Active Directory, PKI, and MECM as required.

  • Manage patches and upgrades to ensure that systems are maximally efficient, effective, and secure.

  • Architect, design, install, protect, recover, and modernize the application hosting systems and capabilities (including servers, storage, databases, and other essential infrastructure) needed to provision enterprise IT applications.

  • Engineer, build, sustain, patch, back-up, and recover a fleet physical servers, virtual hosts, and virtual machines running a mix of operating systems (Linux and Windows Systems).

  • Execute performance testing and optimization to meet performance specifications, monitor and report on system utilization rates, and service capacities.

  • Build and provision physical and virtual servers using a mix of appliances, stand-alone, clustered, and/or high-availability designs; configure and sustain all necessary hardware and software configurations to meet design goals, support includes configuring server parameters, configuring network services, requesting, and applying IP addresses, troubleshooting, and service verification.

  • Build and sustain directory services, identity management systems, organizational units, and global policies in support of computer and user objects across all network enclaves.

  • Install and sustain a mix of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization technologies, which provide virtual desktops and applications.

  • Plan, execute, and document mission-application baseline specification changes, to include changes to high-availability, fault-tolerant system designs, cluster-aware applications, client-server applications, web-enabled applications, and other n-tier application architectures.

  • Support and execute code deployments of mission applications.

  • Build, sustain, image, and script logical containers and other components needed to automate server and network administration.

  • Install, secure, and troubleshoot website-hosting servers, web-application servers, and websites by identifying system requirements, building systems, installing updates, deploying applications, securing the systems from cyber security attacks, deploying application and website content updates, and configuring authentication and authorization to meet cyber security mandates.

  • Provide architecture and engineering support for API Gateway services, which facilitate micro service transactions, client-to-server communications, and application development.

Requirements :

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • Eight-Ten (8-10) years of direct, relevant experience with the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Windows and Linux Server environments.

  • Requires eight (8) plus years of direct experience with IT systems infrastructure, implementation, and design.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct, relevant experience with the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

  • Must possess a 8570 IAT Level – II certification

  • Must possess a Microsoft Certification: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Windows Server Administrator Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

  • Must possess a Linux Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)

Pluses:

  • VMWare Certified Technical Associate (VCTA).

  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP- Data Center Virtualization).
