The Role

The Labor Relations Analyst is an integral member of the Labor Relations team who provides professional and analytical services relating to labor contract negotiations, arbitrations, and grievance resolution. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with labor relations, human resources, and operations.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in our unionized space, particularly in contract negotiation, implementation, and administration including, but not limited to, research and analysis, proposal drafting, contract drafting, and internal communication and alignment. May require travel to, and attendance at, labor negotiations.

  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to implement and administer negotiated labor agreements

  • Provides support in preparing the Company for labor arbitrations in conjunction with the Company’s advocate. Duties include, but are not limited to, evaluating evidence, compiling exhibits, drafting witness outlines, preparing Company witnesses, and other details related to arbitrations.

  • Consults with business operations leaders and human resources advisors in preparation for contract negotiations, administration, arbitrations, and grievance resolution.

  • Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of union grievances, develops risk mitigation strategy and potential settlement strategy, and makes recommendations as to potential courses of action.

  • Develops responses for information requests from Unions.

  • Interfaces with union representatives to build effective Union-company relations.

  • Tracks and reports trending data on contract administration, resolution of grievances and labor arbitrations.

  • Assists on other Labor Relations projects as assigned.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 3-5 years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.

  • Labor Relations experience is not required, but an interest in Labor Relations and a willingness to learn about Labor Relations is.

  • Tenacious and results oriented, the ideal candidate has perseverance to press through obstacles that arise.

  • Data management skills including good functional capabilities across the Microsoft office suite, specifically TEAMs, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Power Point

  • Attention to detail, the ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when tackling tasks.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
