37-3019 Grounds Trail Maintenance workers 03/15/25-07//20/25 12-Temporary FULL-TIME Grounds trail maintenance workers do a variety of tasks to achieve pleasant and functional environments. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified, to perform work described in this job description & be available entire period specified. Transport provided designated locale to job site They care for outdoor grounds of parks, and other spaces work under the direction of a groundskeeping supervisor. Sustainable trail development work involving activities related to trail work including, but not limited to, erosion control, trimming vegetation, materials transport, clearing trail of debris such as rocks, fallen trees, branches, 3-4-inch digging, scraping to smooth out trail laying rocks for trail and the proper and safe use of tools, materials, and other equipment. Good health, strength, and endurance for outdoor physical labor. Tolerance for discomfort Stand and walk long distances for prolonged periods of time daily often on uneven, difficult terrain, climb and descend steep inclines, and engage in frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Regularly lifting, pushing and pulling objects up to 50-60 lbs. Work outside in all types of weather, resulting in exposure to extreme cold, heat, humidity, rain, wind, direct sunlight work to support, preserve, and expand sustainable trail access. May be weekend/holiday work. OJT. No minimum. education. extreme weather conditions cause hours to fluctuate, Possible downtime OT Tools, equipment provide to worker at no cost. Begin: Glenwood Springs, CO, Garfield County @ $23.88/hour; OT $35.82/hr. Daily hours:7am-3:30pm; 35 hours Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and, or OT. Drug, alcohol/smoke-free, work zone. Employer complies applicable Federal, State, local laws pertain to OT, downtime, H-2B current regs. min 18-yrs age due to travel. Must show proof legal authority work in U.S. The employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Transport, subsistence reimbursed (by 1st paycheck) cost place worker came to work for employer, whether in U.S. or abroad, to place of employment per regs. Employer takes incremental deducts each paycheck (not to fall below fed min.) recoup transport costs pd in 1st workweek paycheck. Once worker completed 50% of employment period, transport costs (most efficient reasonable carrier cost), & subsistence costs reimbursed to worker. Upon completion work contract or where worker dismissed early, employer provides or pays worker's reasonable costs return transport/ subsistence back home or place worker originally departed to work, except where worker does not return due to subsequent employment w/ another employer. Transport amount payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical/reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence provided rate $15.88 per day during travel to max of $59 per day w/ receipts. If legally enforceable, worker offered employment for total number work hours equal to at least 3/4 (26.25/hours per week) of workdays each 12-wk period. Single workweek standard compute wages due. Wage pd every 2-wks. All deducts reqd. by law done by employer. Employer offers assistance locating lodging, supply list public accommodation options in work vicinity. Optional lodging cost varies by location. Workers not reqd. stay such housing. Will reimburse H-2B worker first workweek paycheck for visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, to extent reqd. by law, including fees mandated by U.S. govt. incurred by H-2B worker, not including passport or other fees not primarily for benefit of employer.
