WESCO Senior Analyst - Sales Operations in Glenview, Illinois
As a Senior Analyst – Sales Operations, you will be responsible for compiling and managing large sales and performance datasets specific to Sourcing, Costing, Catalog, Supplier, Inventory and Project Management. You will also be responsible for developing and providing analytical support to team members and various sales leaders throughout the assigned Business Unit(s).
Responsibilities:
Work with sales leaders and multiple internal support resources to identify areas of improvement where processes can be created or improved upon while eliminating misalignment of departmental goals that hinder delivery of value to clients and internal sales.
Drive consistent process using well defined datasets for reporting purposes, including sales, historical trends, and backlog.
Formulate, compile, and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future trends.
Build compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models that helps in deriving meaningful business insights from large and complex datasets.
Gather requirements and design performance reports and forecasting reports for the Global Sales teams.
Gather, publish, and maintain information related to historical, current, and future sales performance.
Review Associate and Analyst team member work when applicable.
Provide training to team members, i.e. Associates and Analysts upon request.
Engage and collaborate as needed with internal departments such as Sales, Inventory, Marketing, as well as
Supplier partners.
Assist in developing sophisticated solutions, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tools to achieve and support the business goals.
Lead sessions for collaboration on identified ad hoc business problem-solving requests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
4+ years of related experience
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to identify potential problems and propose possible solutions
Understanding of latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize tools and processes
Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to visualize data to tell a story that allows the end user to make informed decisions and take actions
Team first mentality with positive/can do attitude
Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and detail oriented
Ability to travel up to 25%
