Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry/Tele - Cardiac / Med Surg
To ensure success, telemetry nurses should demonstrate extensive experience in caring for critically ill patients and the ability to work in a highly demanding environment. Accomplished candidates expertly interpret medical technology data and provide their patients with dedicated care.
Experience Requirements:
- Must be comfortable and hit the ground running working Nights
- Strong proficiency & experience working on Cardiac/Tele, Med-Tele Units - Required
- Previous travel experience: strongly strongly encouraged
- Must have telemetry experience
- Neuro/stroke experience encouraged
- Please disclose any previous * Hospital (or Albany Med) experience on profile
- Cerner Experience required
- Clinician MUST be reliable! No attendance concerns, call outs, etc... - very patient oriented Unit
- Consist of mainly tele/cardiac patients
- # of Beds in unit: 16
- RN to Patient ratio: 4:1
- Patient Population: Adult - Geriatric
- EMR: Cerner
- Dress code: any color scrubs
- Remote Tele Unit
- MUST be able to follow & comfortably the Department expectations to interpret, measure & document cardiac rhythms 2x/shift.
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
Additional License Requirements: New York license must be in hand at profile upload. Facility will not pend license
