Checon, LLC Bonding Mill Operator in Glens Falls, New York
Position Summary: Operators are responsible for the operation of bonding mills used in industry to produce metal tapes and strips. This includes, but not limited to, setting up bond mills, guides, and operating annealing furnaces to meet customer specification of product. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators and skilled workers. Essential Job Duties:Operate and monitor production equipment and processes to ensure that they are working properly and adjust as needed.Set up equipment with new tooling as needed.In process inspection testing.Maintain work orders on both production router and/or in ERP systems.Maintain a safe, clean and well organized workspace.Support a safety culture by following all safety rules.Additional Responsibilities:Pro-actively cooperate in shop floor fine scheduling of Bonding/Tape Department.Provide Preventive Maintenance of bonding mills, as well as other supporting equipment in the department and corresponding tooling to minimize unplanned downtime.Support ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (EH&S) Management System Processes.Qualifications/Requirements: HS Diploma or GED Required.Experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment, preferably within a metal bonding operation.Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.Attention to detail; Ability to use measuring equipment such as vernier, calipers and micrometers and read and record data accurately as required.Organized, self-structured, self-driven.Practical approach, straightforward and communicative.Ability to work independently, as well as a team.Physical Requirements/Safety: Ability to work with high temperature equipment and products.Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
