Eaton Corporation Electro Mechanical Assembler in Glenolden, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro Mechanical Assembler.

The hours for this role are 7am - 330pm

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To assemble and/or test components using tools and fixtures and working from manufacturing documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Works from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro- mechanical components.

• Uses machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.

• Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.

• Makes a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.

• Uses equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to in-process test parts during assembly.

• Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.

• Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution

• 6+ months experience in electro-mechanical environment

• Resides within 50 miles of location

• US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred

• Associates/Technical degree in applicable field

• 6+ months of soldering experience

• 6+ months of blueprint reading

• Understanding and experience with PCB assembly and testing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Position requires use of PPE – Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed

Skills:

• Soldering J Std certification

• Blueprint reading

• Measuring with basic measuring tools and instruments

• Basic understanding of electronic theory. Basic understanding of Ohm’s law and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage.

• Proficient with some equipment and tools in Value Stream.

• Good quality workmanship and displayed ability of meeting production standards where trained.
