DineEquity Senior Systems Administrator in Glendale, California

Description

This position will be responsible for the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance and support of the overall IT infrastructure on premises and within AWS. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and technical reference for all server, middleware and/or other infrastructure utilized by DINE's product development teams and business units.

This position requires a seasoned individual, who has experience and skills in most areas of modern on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of virtual machines, cloud instances, IT systems hardware and software and other related infrastructure in specific computing systems and/or environments.

  • Perform hands on administration & systems engineering of the IT infrastructure to assure that systems meet or exceed business needs and expectations.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership; lead complex System Administration tasks and IT Infrastructure projects to successful completion.

  • Hands-on experience migrating workloads on premises to public cloud; automating environment deployments in AWS using Terraform, CloudFormation or other methodologies; building and supporting a highly available and multisite environments.

  • Gathering requirements, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, maintaining and migrating users and services in Cisco Webex ecosystems (Webex Meetings, Control Hub, Contact Center, Calling).

  • Develop logical and physical infrastructure designs of infrastructure proposed solutions based on business requirements.

  • Perform / oversee daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all IT Infrastructure, systems and key IT processes.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, system upgrades, regular patching, security remediation and resource optimization as required.

  • Provide Systems Engineering support of production and non-production environments on premises and off premises.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 8+ years of experience of Systems Administration experience

  • 2+ years of experience of AWS administration experience

  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Administration

  • 2+ years administering Cisco Webex cloud systems (Meetings, Calling, Contact Center)

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud computing service provisioning with CloudFormation

  • Experience with implementing EC2 auto-scaling groups, ELBs, Lambda, ActiveMQ, Elastic Cache etc

  • Securing IT Infrastructure and AWS environments

  • VMWare vSphere (e.g. ESXi, vCenter) administration and support

  • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management

  • Strong understanding of server backup strategies including virtual, bare metal, database, file, etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels

  • Experience with Container Technology (e.g. Docker)

  • Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)

  • Automation skills via scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of web and application server architecture for public clouds.

  • Experience and knowledge of networking and security

  • Admin Experience with O365, MS Exchange Environment

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of comprehensive Windows / Linux Systems Administration.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience of AWS administration experience.
