Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Office Specialist, located in Glendale, California. The role will involve administrative assistance, customer service, and data entry tasks within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services in Spanish when necessary, ensuring clear and effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

• Gain proficiency in understanding and explaining various types of insurance including Medical-No Medical, Medicare, Private, and HMO to patients.

• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality protocols.

• Work on-site for initial training period, transitioning to a remote work environment as per site coverage needs.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word to maintain and organize files, schedule appointments, and manage shipping functions.

• Ensure accurate processing and entry of customer data, maintaining meticulous customer credit records.

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook is essential

• Experience in administrative assistance is required

• Excellent customer service skills are necessary

• Prior experience in data entry is a must

• Ability to handle shipping functions is needed

• Experience in organizing files and scanning is important

• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently is required

• Knowledge of the healthcare/NHS industry is desirable

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the work environment.
