Description We are in search of a HR Specialist to join our team in Glendale, California. This role is crucial in setting up and managing our HR department, as well as ensuring seamless payroll and HR services for our clients. This role presents an opportunity for contract to hire employment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle payroll-related functions, including processing, tax compliance, and management of automated timekeeping systems.

• Resolve client inquiries and system issues, escalating complex matters when necessary.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

• Conduct client retention efforts through proactive communication and relationship-building activities.

• Assist with administrative tasks during quarter-end, year-end, and open enrollment periods.

• Occasionally visit local clients to enhance service quality and client relations.

• Administer benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports, ensuring clients receive accurate documentation.

• Stay updated on payroll and HR best practices, legislation, and technology trends.

• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, addressing concerns and solving issues in a timely manner. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist or in a similar role

• Auditing skills and experience

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven experience in Compliance in a Human Resources setting

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
