Description
An entry-level Accountant position is available through Accountemps. This position would best suit a candidate with a positive attitude and who enjoys working with Excel. This is a short-term temporary entry-level Accountant role based in Glendale, California. You will report to the Accounting Manager, and be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Your responsibilities
Prepare monthly journal entries
Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Analyzing and adjusting account discrepancies
Input data
Requirements
Less than one year of experience preferred
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Foundational knowledge in Quicken
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
QuickBooks experience
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Great attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
