POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical Storeroom Supervisor is a key position for the facility maintenance program. This position owns all technical storeroom areas and leads the people operating in the technical storeroom. They are responsible for all technical storeroom routines. This person needs to have deep understanding of the Nestlé Maintenance strategy and the maintenance foundations. The position is responsible for supplying the spare parts required for maintenance, ensuring they are easy to locate, of the right quality, available when needed, and managed at the optimal level of inventory and costs. This position is a key link with other stakeholders and must collaborate seamlessly with technicians, maintenance planners, operational buyer, and finance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a clean and orderly 5S technical storeroom

  • Plan and improve the technical storeroom layout for efficient order picking and inventory management

  • Organize and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate support for maintenance

  • Work closely with the planning/scheduling department

  • Provide inventory reporting to Finance and Purchasing; ensure finance approval of all stock adjustments, min/max adjustments, and obsolete part write-off

  • Manage process to refine and control slow moving parts as well as obsolete part removal

  • Monitor min/max levels and order point information

  • Manage inventories by ABCZ classification

  • Use best practice inventory management practices

  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines (purchasing, accounting, engineering, operations, management) to ensure a high support of maintenance activities

  • Provide KPI reports as needed

  • Coordinate special parts orders with maintenance

  • Provide reports to management such as inventory valuation reports, negative inventory reports, cycle count variances, scrap, and obsolescence

  • Attend maintenance and planning meetings

  • Become familiar with factory equipment and operational processes

  • Establish and maintain “Work-Flow Process Charts” and standard operating procedures for major work systems within the technical storeroom: Parts set-up, Parts replenishment, Parts issue, Parts return, Parts repair and re-stock, Parts Kitting, Inventory Process (Annual and Cycle Count)

  • Network with other sites, as necessary, to become the site expert on technical storeroom systems

  • Establish and maintain vendor contacts for resources on spare parts and training

  • Provide training for all affected personnel on work processes

  • Ensure technical storeroom’s compliance to all people safety, food safety, and environmental guidelines and complete loss analysis to identify and develop improvements

  • Support the build of the zero-based maintenance budget

  • Ensure the following activities are established and maintained: establish and control the right material master data (Material type, BOM, ABCZ classification etc.); establish and control the material movements routine (receiving, issue, returns, reordering, scrapping); establish and manage the inventory control processes (cycle counting, storeroom access process)

  • Understand and ensure that the proper segregation of duties is respected through appropriate allocation of roles and work, running any necessary compensating controls and report to the Sr. Factory Engineering Manager and Sr. Factory Controller. Undertake investigation and auditing of any variances or key controls and measures and implement corrective actions in consultation with factory management

MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, as a Storekeeper, Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineer, or other similar position required.

  • 1 year of experience directly supervising others (technical teams, mechanical and electrical, contractors, suppliers, or other third parties) preferred.

  • Experience with CMMS system (SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS, etc.) specifically with technical storeroom control preferred.

  • Experience with IT systems (Windows or SAP environment) as well as experiences participating or coordinating the organization of stores, technical workshops, or other similar workplaces preferred.

  • Experience with TPM, preventive maintenance planning, and maintenance execution preferred. Basic exposure in the coordination and planning of maintenance activities, considering SHE, food safety, and other constraints preferred.

  • Basic exposure to equipment and spare parts used in the following fields: instrumentation, industrial services, E&A, and general food and beverage industry preferred.

  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams for process or activity optimization preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills (SAP, AMM, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Able to work in a team environment.

  • Basic Root Cause/problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of 5S process

  • Excellent Organizational Skills

  • Presentation and Management Skills

  • Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive Nestlé culture and follow established values.

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
