Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Glen Allen, Virginia

Description

We are in search of a meticulous and diligent Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team in the distribution industry, based in Glen Allen, Virginia, United States. As an integral part of our team, you will be tasked with ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable processes, which includes overseeing and analyzing transactions, interacting with clients regarding outstanding balances, and formulating strategies to optimize cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable transactions to ensure their accuracy and completeness.

• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.

• Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collections process as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and customer communications.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to resolve customer billing inquiries or disputes.

• Analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and implement collection strategies accordingly.

• Prepare reports and presentations on accounts receivable performance for management review.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Strong experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• In-depth knowledge of Billing Functions

• Familiarity with Cash Activity management

• Proficiency in Collection Processes

• Proven leadership skills with experience supervising an accounts receivable team

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven track record of improving accounts receivable processes and procedures

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
