Rowan University Temporary Part Time Hourly Program Coordinator (Academics & Outreach) in Glassboro, New Jersey

Duties/Responsibilities:

Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Executive Education & External Affairs, the program coordinator is responsible for the following essential responsibilities and functions:

  • Create presentations and reports based on research to drive conversations regarding new program ideas related to the Cannabis Apprenticeship program.

  • Perform various tasks related to the Grant requirements such as scheduling meetings, taking notes, and other duties as assigned.

  • Provide administrative support with large-scale projects, including assisting with maintaining websites, and other documents related to the Cannabis grants.

  • Review, edit and distribute materials including but not limited to self-help documents, and other materials to assist both faculty and students with the use of course management tools and other technologies.

  • Organize and maintain files, records, reports, and other documents for the Office of Academics & Outreach.

  • Provide support through coordinating and scheduling in-person and virtual events and meetings related to the Cannabis Grant.

  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned with the Cannabis Grant.

    Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or associate's degree.

  • A minimum of (2) years of experience working in a higher education setting.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with adult and/or online students.

  • Ability to objectively evaluate platforms and other technology tools and provide comprehensive feedback or recommendations on best practices.

  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

  • Familiarity in gathering data, information and writing reports and evaluations to present the information comprehensively.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information in person and through electronic communications.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and complete various projects within designated deadlines, be forward thinking and adaptable to change.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Canvas, Zoom and WebEx.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    Hours:

  • This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and is not to exceed 944 hours per fiscal year. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriate.
