The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Africana Studies Program seeks to hire a three-quarter time faculty member. Qualified candidates will specialize in the African diaspora. The candidate should be qualified to teach Model African Union, Introduction to Africana Studies, Topics in Africana Studies and other courses according to their area of research. Preference will be given to candidates who have a secondary field African-American History.
The successful candidate will serve on the Africana Studies Board and assist students in leading the Model Diplomacy Club, and may do some other appropriate service.
Qualifications: M.A. or Ph.D. in history, with the field of expertise appropriate to the course; college-level-teaching experience preferred.
