Cabinet Maker/Woodworker

Lake City, PA

*Pay: *Negotiable based on experience

*Shift: *1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7 AM -- 3:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY: A wood cabinet maker designs, builds, and installs wooden cabinets and fixtures. They use a variety of tools and machines to create projects based on the client's needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing: Using computer-aided drawing programs to design furniture 
• Cutting and shaping: Using hand tools and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form wood 
• Assembling: Using glue, clamps, screws, nails, or dowels to attach parts together 
• Finishing: Applying stain, varnish, paint, or lacquer to protect and enhance the wood's appearance 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical skills: Be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions, and operate various tools and machinery 
• Attention to detail: Make sure the designs and measurements of products meet the client's needs 
• Manual skills: Be good with practical work and manual activities 
• Mathematical skills: Have strong mathematical skills to perform calculations and measurements 
• Spatial awareness: Have good spatial awareness 
• Safety focus: Be focused on safe working practices 

• No allergies: Have no allergies to dust or other materials 

   

• Must have reliable transportation
