    THE ROLE:

    Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.

  • May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

  • Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection. Employees must successfully pass a motor vehicle background prior to operating any vehicle on behalf of the company.

  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

  • Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.

  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of the show to close the venue - this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, etc.

  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

  • Responsible for entering availability 3 weeks in advance through the ABIMM system . Employee is further responsible for communicating with the supervisor should that availability change.

  • Ensuring that time worked is accurately captured through the ABIMM system.

    Qualifications/Physical Demands/Work Environment :

  • Ages 18 and up .

  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and in some cases a motor vehicle background .

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required .

  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures preferred.

  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy .

  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs .

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and working on your feet .   Some, but not all, positions must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.

  • Require nights, weekends, and potentially holiday work (Memorial Day, 4 th of July, and Labor Day) in all types of weather .

  • Positions for all applicants will be assigned based on training, availability, skills, previous experience and needs for that evening’s show .

  • All applicants must be able to commit to at least 50 percent of shows. You may not be picked for all the shows but must be available .  

  • Tolerance of loud noises .
