The Accountant job family provides professional accounting support to assigned finance programs and operations involving the accounting, recording and reporting of financial transactions. Employees in this job family are eligible for promotion from Accountant I, to Accountant II, and Senior Accountant as they gain skills, experience, and/or become a CPA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or a closely related field

  • A minimum of one year of experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting and reconciling general ledger accounts (governmental experience preferred)

  • Any equivalent combination of training and job-related experience which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work may substitute for the years of experience required
