The Role
As a Field Applications Scientist(FAS) - SDB at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to be part of a world-class team that values performance, quality, and innovation. Responsibilities:
Support multiple research sales representatives by providing technical information and product recommendations for customer applications.
Deliver on-site application support and training to customers on our leading Material Science products, specifically focusing on Small Dual Beam (SDB).
Perform demonstrations at customer or NanoPort sites.
Provide technical product expertise assistance during all phases of the sales cycle.
Encourage positive customer relationships, give in-depth technical presentations, and assist in applications development.
Continuously provide feedback to the product groups on system performance and collaborate with marketing/development groups on future product developments.
Recommend and advise on potential applications consistent with customer requirements and technical feasibility.
Requirements:
Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area for the supported instrumentation and application.
Firsthand or extended experience with the relevant instrumentation and applications in academia or industry.
Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
Willingness to travel frequently (30-40%), both domestically and internationally.
