Citigroup Markets - Data Governance Project Manager in Getzville, New York

Citi’s Markets Program Execution and Transformation Team is looking for a leader to drive implementation of Citi's Data Governance Policy across Markets Front Office and Operations.

The Data Governance Project Manager is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role is on implementation of the Data Concern Remediation Management requirements across Markets.

This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. This role involves direct exposure to senior management and Markets front office staff, and it requires developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and/or Data Risk and Control framework

  • Provide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processes

  • Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting

  • Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including new Data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework

  • Gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices and standards, e.g., understanding industry best practices

  • Determine requirements for and develop procedures, processes and practices for implementation of Data Remediation across Markets.

  • Develop effective metrics and tooling for reporting on Data Issues and Risk for Markets Management and business Data Owners.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in managing and executing on change projects within the banking and financial services industries.

  • Knowledge of Markets Front Office structure and trade flow across a range of trading products.

  • Experience and knowledge of RWA, Capital, Liquidity reporting a plus

  • Knowledge of Risk methodologies/frameworks and demonstrable appreciation of the need for and impact of controls and monitoring

  • Demonstrable experience in trade processing front-to-back, risk and control, markets, operations, and support & control areas (e.g. Finance, Risk)

  • Knowledge of global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities) and/or securities services (Prime, Collateral, Clearing, Custody, Fund Services

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s/University degree education or equivalent experience

$100,800.00 - $151,200.00
