Citigroup Institutional Credit Management, Data Analyst - Assistant Vice President in Getzville, New York

The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group is looking for a full-time Assistant Vice President, Data Analyst to join its Wholesale Lending Data Management (WLDM) and remediation team. "ICM" has been established with the objective to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

The Data Quality and Governance organization within "ICM" is responsible for driving a data architecture in order to deliver front to back design, identify gaps, and implement a robust governance framework across "ICM" Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) universe with a specific focus on counterparty credit risk. A key focus is on Data Quality including ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness across data flows and alignment with Citi’s overall data strategy.

The function is responsible for extensive partnering across all relevant businesses within "ICM" and Independent Risk to drive key initiatives and associated deliverables for the data strategy and manage change with the right governance framework.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and manage projects using an agile scrum methodology

Coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams ensuring seamless integration and project execution

Collaborate with management to align project goals and deliverables

Design and prototype solutions and develop business requirements

Continuously learn from and partner with business management and technology partners to identify opportunities to incrementally deliver business value through tactical tools

Create prototypes for analytical tools that will later be productionized by Technology

Partner with internal organizations, including Risk, Middle office and Operations to improve cross functional workflows, feeds and reporting

Collaborate with technology counterparts to define requirements and ensure proper governance over applications development, testing and releases

Provide user training, solicit feedback and drive systems adoption

Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide reporting as needed

Support downstream consumption plans with back-office technology partners to ensure completeness and consistency throughout data flows

Act as a change agent to implement best practices and ensure transparency and consistency across teams

Skills and Qualifications:

5-8 years’ experience including data analytics

Experience with agile methodologies, iterative development process, Jira, and Bitbucket

Proficient knowledge of data modeling and relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, Bigdata, and Kdb+

Proficient knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, SQL, Spark, Visual Basic

Working knowledge in developing BI reporting tools and dashboards in Tableau/Tableau Prep, additional tools a plus

Basic knowledge of financial markets

Ability to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities

Must be a team player; must be able to contribute and foster ideas within the team

Must be passionate about technology and innovation within the financial services industry

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask under tight deadlines

$77,280.00 - $115,920.00
