As a Grant Specialist at Horizon, you will
Research grant opportunities for the purpose of developing additional funding resources for both current and proposed services, programs and administrative operations as well as serving as a clearinghouse for potential grant funding opportunities. Gathering information/data from internal/external sources to prepare applications/reports/updates. Preparing/compiling grant application contents for submission. Updating/tracking application due dates, deadlines, reporting dates, post-award timelines, and other required communications/deliverables for grantors. Accessing internal departments for data requests related to grants. Research county/state/federal data sources in support of information needed for grants. Gathering documentation post-award of expenses incurred for grants. Preparation of scheduled voucher submissions to awarding entities Managing various accounts that require maintenance and updates.
Bachelors Degree required with exposure/experience to grant writing and/or monitoring. Ability to be flexible and take initiative. Ability to plan and manage projects. Able to prepare and maintain accurate records. Ability to review and interpret technical information. Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and/or groups. Ability to problem solve. Ability to work independently as well as within a team under time constraints.
