Robert Half Assistant Controller in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania


Robert Half Direct is partnering with a confidential client seeking a full-time Assistant Controller to join their team.


  • Oversee all company accounts and investments

  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts

  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports

  • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants

  • Motivate and lead team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback

  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing

  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation

  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations

  • Manage the tax responsibilities at local, state, federal, foreign jurisdictions and prepare tax reporting for company, subsidiaries and directors

  • Manage Insurance, Payroll, Banking, Company and Subsidiary Governance, Auditing activities

  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports

  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities

  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations

  • Collaborate with team members to provide timely and accurate financial information

  • Prepare financial reports and briefs to managers to support effective decision making


  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting. CPA, Master level preferred.

  • GAAP and IFRS standards mastery

  • US Federal, Pennsylvania State Tax and Labor Compliance Experience

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Operations and Finance Experience

  • E Commerce Experience (SANA Commerce preferred)

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 Tools and Remote Communications

  • Experience with Federal US Government Contracting

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English language, written and spoken in order to interact with team members, customers, and suppliers

  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness

  • Absolutely crucial that this individual be global team-oriented and familiar working with multiple global offices and differing time zones

  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to constructively engage and resolve conflict and develop positive outcomes

  • Analytical thinking and ability to support deadline-driven work environment

  • Veteran and Global Leadership experiences preferred
