Adecco US, Inc. Lead Labeling Operator in Germantown, Wisconsin
Position Summary: The Label Packaging Operator 1, reporting to the Business Unit Line Lead, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-speed packaging equipment, including the Palletizer, De-palletizer, and related production machinery. This role involves working collaboratively as part of a team to maintain a supportive team environment. The operator will gain and apply expertise in the palletizing and de-palletizing processes. Responsibilities may also include training staff and assisting Team Line Leads and Supervisors as needed to meet the operational goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and oversee the Palletizer and De-palletizer.
Perform machine setup, changeovers, tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting on various packaging machines.
Maintain line efficiency at targeted production rates while adhering to quality and customer requirements.
Conduct light maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
Communicate machine performance updates with other operators at shift change.
Promptly input equipment downtime and reasons into the MES data system.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Verify that the product matches the production schedule and complete inventory records.
Monitor product codes on bottles, cartons, and cases to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Remove and dispose of slip sheets, frames, and pallets as needed.
Regularly inspect reject bins and reintroduce tipped bottles to the line; dispose of any bottles on the floor into recycling bins.
Ensure all bottles are cleared from under conveyors and floors during line clears before starting the next production batch.
Report any out-of-standard results to Quality and the Supervisor without delay.
Report unsafe conditions or compliance concerns to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Operate forklifts safely as required.
Retrieve and manage products from the ASRS storage area.
Perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing stairs, and prolonged standing.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in high-speed food manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production (preferred).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic math skills for accurate calculations.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work with limited supervision.
Basic knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.
Mechanical aptitude for understanding and working with equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and maintain an inclusive and respectful work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated mechanical skills.
Proficiency in using PCs and related software, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Hours: 3 rd Shift: 7p-5a, M-Th
Competitive pay and full benefits
Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
