Job Title: Stationary Engineer
Job Description
The Stationary Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment within a facility. This includes, but is not limited to, chillers, steam boilers, water treatment systems such as reverse osmosis or hydromax, HVAC systems, and building maintenance systems (BMS). The individual in this role will perform preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Hard Skills
Operate, maintain, and repair chillers, steam boilers, water treatment systems, HVAC systems, and building maintenance systems
Execute work orders, including general preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing motors and changing motor belts
Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend solutions to ensure optimal performance
Conduct troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems
Document all maintenance activities and repairs accurately in the system
Perform safety rounds, record data from rounds and equipment inspections, and conduct water testing for pH levels
Soft Skills
Operate computer systems, telephones, and email for communication and documentation purposes
Attend designated training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to job responsibilities
Adhere to all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
Report incidents, accidents, and injuries promptly and accurately
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training sessions, and hazard assessments
Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work activities
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Germantown, Maryland.
