EchoStar IFEC Principal Product and Program Manager in GERMANTOWN, Maryland
EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an IFEC Principal Product and Program Manager in our Hughes Network Systems division . Hughes is a leading provider of satellite products and services that recently announced disruptive in-flight entertainment and connectivity solutions for airlines. Hughes is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Program Manager to join the aviation team. This position plays a pivotal role in leading critical programs in the aviation industry and is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and launch of solutions for Hughes.

This position can be located at either our Germantown, MD or Lisle, IL offices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate a clear, actionable product vision and strategy for aviation solutions in line with company goals and market needs.
Own and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, market trends, and customer feedback.
Evaluate emerging technologies, conduct market research, and assess competitive products to inform product selection and ensure our offerings remain innovative and competitive.
Oversee development projects to integrate products seamlessly for installation during the aircraft production process or as retrofit.
Manage the development, qualification, certification and launch of aviation systems in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Manage strong relationships with customers, aircraft manufacturers, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Identify potential risks in program execution and develop mitigation plans to drive risks to closure.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practices within the organization.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
8+ years of relevant work experience.
Prior experience in product development, roadmap development, and/or market research
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including product research, design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support.
Prior experience in product development, roadmap development, and/or market research.
Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Knowledge of FAA/EASA STC processes.
Prior experience with linefit and retrofit programs in the aviation industry
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
