Robert Half is offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk at our location in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role is in the logistics industry and will involve interaction with customers and managing dispatch operations. The workplace will be a fast-paced environment where the ability to multitask will be crucial.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues
• Accurately process customer credit applications
• Manage dispatch operations and coordinate with freight carriers
• Utilize office suite applications for logistics operations
• Maintain and update customer credit records
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Handle shipping and receiving operations
• Use your strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
Requirements • Must have proven experience in a logistics clerk role or similar position within the logistics industry.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required, with the ability to professionally interact with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary, including the ability to create spreadsheets and manage data effectively.
• Experience in dispatching is required, with a focus on coordinating and managing transportation routes.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in logistics, including planning and coordinating freight and transport operations.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, including the ability to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Knowledge of various freight carriers, with the ability to select the most efficient and cost-effective options for each shipment. TalentMatch®
