Actalent Equipment Engineer in Georgetown, Kentucky

Description:

The Equipment engineer’s responsibilities include creating equipment specifications, leading equipment buyoff, vendor development, project schedule management, budget management, quotation analysis, cost studies, function testing, safety/risk assessment, and providing customer support. You should be able to communicate effectively and provide effective suggestions for improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work in maintenance & manufacturing environments within the automotive sector. • A strong background with PLC programming (focus on reading programs and troubleshooting) • A strong background with equipment procurement (design, specification, buyoff, installation) • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • A strong background with vendor management/relationship • 2 years technical Associate Degree or 5 years of work experience • Precision in following technical specifications and adherence to safety standards. • Willingness to continuously learn and update skills as machinery and technology evolve. • Careful monitoring of the installation process to prevent errors and ensure high-quality outcomes. Bonus if you have: • Experience with TOYOPUC PLC programing • Industrial maintenance and Plastics equipment installation experience • Toyota Experience • Experience with AGV, AMRs, lift assists, and other sub-assembly equipment and components • Additional related certifications • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
