Finger Lakes Health Professor of Nursing and Student Experience Coordinator in Geneva, New York
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Student Experience coordinator serves as a clinical faculty in the associate degree program with additional responsibilities in clinical coordination. Responsibilities include: placing clinical request inhouse and for outside organizations, collecting and administrating clinical surveys and collecting satisfaction data for accreditation purposes, coordinating the America Heart Training Center, supporting RQI training and equipment service. In addition to attending biannual RASON meetings to ensure regulatory compliance. Support the new clinical faculty with department and clinical orientation. Provide Meditec training for student orientation and developing a tracking system of students on campus.
The Student Experience Coordinator will serve as an educator, facilitator, consultant, researcher, and a leader to our employees, physicians, and community in providing educational programs to all specialty areas as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum:
Master of Science in Nursing degree in progress
Preferred:
Master of Science with a major in Nursing
Recent clinical experience in medical-surgical/acute care/long-term care/ICU nursing
LICENSE:
Minimum:
Current unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse licensure
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Assistant Professor (MS in nursing up to 3 years teaching experience) or (BS in nursing with equivalent academic competence and matriculated in a master's program)
Associate Professor (MS in nursing with equivalent academic competence (3 yrs. of teaching exp.)
Professor (Doctorate degree and five yrs. of teaching exp.).
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Previous experience with college of nursing accreditation (ACEN, CCNE).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity health system.
Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets.
Salary: $74,263.00-$98,664.00
